Being A Better Person, Family

Family Time

I am a firm believer in hard work. I think it is vital to teach our children the importance of working hard and doing our best in each job.

But just as important is spending time together as a family having fun!

This week, our family enjoyed a mini vacation. We spent the day together at first the Clark Planetarium, where we watched a fun little video on the planets of our solar system on a dome screen. How fun. And then lunch at Panda Express for some, Subway for others. I love food courts.

Next, we played two games of Laser Tag, where Matthew was high scorer the first game and Craig on the second. Now that was a fun workout! My thighs were hurting from all the squatting I did!

After, we headed to Thanksgiving Point and toured the dinosaur museum. Matthew and I missed the newer area as we’d gone ahead to play in the sand and water area. I didn’t realize they’d added on a whole other section since we’d been there last, probably close to 10 years ago. 🙂 Should have paid attention to the map. But Matthew and I had fun playing in the sand.

To close out the evening we watched Star Trek Beyond in the iMax theater. Nice cushy seats, popcorn, and all my family with me. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my 44th birthday! I love my family and am grateful that God has giving them to me.
