Two farmers prayed for rain.
One prayed each morning, waiting for the rain to come, hoping that it would happen soon, so that he could plant his fields.
The other farmer prayed for rain each morning, and while he prayed, he tilled his fields, readying them for seed. Then he planted his seed and prayed in gratitude when the rain came and watered his planted fields.
The second farmer also received rain, but had only muddy fields to show for it. He hadn’t planted yet, so the rain did him little good.
Which farmer are you? The one who prays and waits for the Lord to do what you’ve asked, or the one who prays, works hard, prays some more, and are actually ready for the blessings when they come?
Be the working farmer!
