Are You an ORIGINAL?

I’ve spent my life as a procrastinator. Now, I’m not so bad that I wait until I don’t have time to finish, but I wait until the last day or even the last minute if I can finish just before the deadline.

I’ve always felt bad that I’ve done this, yet even when I try to change, I simply don’t. I have always been quick to start things but then work on it slowly. Sometimes going months or even years between working on projects. I finish them, but not always in a timely manner.

You may read this and think, why would I want to work with her? I want to be clear, if I have a deadline, I do meet it. I just may meet it within minutes of the end time. But I have a high standard in making sure I give my all and my best in everything I do, even if it’s procrastinated to a point.

Now, I have to say, I have learned to plan things out and work the plans. It is possible to learn new skills. I have gone from a major procrastinator as a teen and in my  twenties and thirties to a woman who knows how to work at a pace that is right for me. I will help you find your own pace that works best for you.

But another reason you may want to work with me is because I AM AN ORIGINAL!

What is an ORIGINAL? you ask. An original is someone who is creative and hardworking, but still procrastinates. “Organizational psychologist Adam Grant studies “originals”: thinkers who dream up new ideas and take action to put them into the world.” Adam  has shed light on this and has made me feel good about being one of those moderate procrastinators.

If you’re an original, or would like to try to be one, I’d love to work with you! And if you’d like to work with an original, I’m your girl!
